Do you like blending Archie-style comics with horror elements (but don’t need to see the characters trying to kill and eat each other, as is going on in the Archie Horror line)? You may want to check out the upcoming Exorsisters from Image Comics. Debuting in October (how appropriate!), this new series is written by Ian Boothby (The Simpsons) and illustrated by Gisèle Lagacé, who has actually drawn for Archie (when she’s not putting out her sexy webcomic Ménage à 3). The result looks cute, but with a touch of supernatural danger. Kate and Cate are twins who help with “soul retrieval” for those troubled by demons. But they may be so different because of some hidden secret. The publisher compares the title to Veronica Mars mixed with Sabrina the Teenage Witch, so I’m sold. Exorsisters #1 can be preordered now from your local comic shop with Diamond code AUG18 0029 for the main cover by Gisèle Lagacé or AUG18 0030 for the alternate by Pia Guerra. There are also two variants that require special orders from the comic shop — that last one by David Lafuente is adorable! Link : Exorsisters a Cute Take on Supernatural Danger | |
