Defenders Show Likely to Succeed, Given Popularity of Other Netflix Marvel Shows

	A site called CableTV.com has put together a list, based on Google Trends, of which Netflix Original TV shows are most popular in each state. According to their rankings, the Marvel shows are clear winners, with Daredevil coming out on top in 14 states: Alaska Arizona Georgia Indiana Kansas Louisiana Michigan Missouri Nebraska New Jersey New Mexico Oklahoma Tennessee Texas And Jessica Jones taking another 7: Colorado Illinois Maine Maryland Nevada New Hampshire Wisconsin Together, that makes up 21 states, over 40% of the 51 regions (including the District of Columbia) examined. That bodes well for the upcoming crossover show, which got a ton of coverage in this week’s Entertainment Weekly. The four leads — Daredevil (Charlie Cox), Jessica Jones (Krysten Ritter), Luke Cage (Mike Colter), and Iron Fist (Finn Jones), each of whom have their own 13-episode series — team up in a show planned from the beginning. Those eight episodes will be coming this summer, and I’m excited to see that Sigourney Weaver is going to play the villain. Course, I probably should watch some of the individual series first.
