In case you’ve never had the pleasure of reading an issue, here’s the premise, set in 17th century Japan.
My favorite stories, though, are the ones where he takes down corrupt local officials and the mysteries. You’ve probably seen this news elsewhere, and I’ve not much to add, except to say congratulations to Eisner and Harvey Award winner Sakai, who’s managed to keep his comic running since 1984 without going bonkers.
