Titan Comics Teases Thirteenth Doctor Who With Stories About Previous Versions

Although creative with their titles, working in “Thirteenth Doctor” wherever they can, Titan’s publications with the “new Doctor” so far are more of the characters we’ve seen before. Out tomorrow is Doctor Who: The Road to the Thirteenth Doctor #1, which stars the Tenth Doctor (David Tennant) and the comic companions Cindy and Gabby. It’s a stand-alone story about the Doctor rescuing a spaceship crew written by James Peaty and illustrated by Iolanda Zanfardino. There’s also a short continued backup by Jody Houser and Rachael Stott, the team on the ongoing Doctor Who: The Thirteenth Doctor series. (It bodes well for that run.) Issue #2, with Eleventh Doctor Matt Smith, is out in August; the series concludes with #3.

Also announced, to be released in September, is Doctor Who: The Thirteenth Doctor #0 – The Many Lives Of Doctor Who, a 64-page special containing “unseen adventures from all her past selves from Classic through to New Who.”
