But that’s to be expected. Of course the TV folks want to be first with the stories about the first female Doctor (played by Jodie Whittaker). Out tomorrow is Doctor Who: The Road to the Thirteenth Doctor #1, which stars the Tenth Doctor (David Tennant) and the comic companions Cindy and Gabby. It’s a stand-alone story about the Doctor rescuing a spaceship crew written by James Peaty and illustrated by Iolanda Zanfardino. There’s also a short continued backup by Jody Houser and Rachael Stott, the team on the ongoing Doctor Who: The Thirteenth Doctor series. (It bodes well for that run.)
