This strikes me as a good sampling of their well-known comics, but it’s also odd, since earlier this year the Times eliminated their lists of comic best-sellers. That means everything on sale — for $5.99 or $9.32 a pop, most of them — was released in 2016 or earlier. Much earlier, in the case of all of the Sandman volumes. There’s also lots of Batman, Wonder Woman, and Fables included. Still, it’s an interesting choice for a selection mechanism.
